The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals in a rainy, ugly Wild Card game in Cincinnati. The game nearly spiraled out of control late in the third quarter after Ryan Shazier laid a helmet-to-helmet hit on Giovani Bernardthat knocked the running back out of the game with a possible concussion. The Steelers held on, 18-16, after a pair of Bengals personal fouls set them up for an easy field goal.
They'll play the Denver Broncos next. As the No. 3 seed, the Bengals were fated to play the New England Patriots in the Divisional round if they won. As a result of the late game, the No. 5 seed Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Foxborough to take on the Patriots.
The winner of Sunday's early game between the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings won't have to wait to figure out its next opponent. The Seahawks, as the No. 6 seed, will go on to face the No. 1 seed Carolina Panthers if they win. The Vikings, as the No. 3 seed, wArizona Cardinals in the Divisional round. The game is expected to take place in near-zero temperatures, so thankfully for the Seahawks and Vikings they're guaranteed to be traveling to a warmer locale.
