Monday’s “Dancing with Stars” episode took a very special turn when audience voting determined the fate of two participants, despite the scores judges had given them. Model Joanna Krupa surprised everyone not only when she scored an impressive 81 out of 90 but also when she got less audience votes. On the other hand, judges gave Kelly Osbourne a lower score but the audience voting helped her qualify for next week’s finale.
Krupa and her partner Derek Hough thus were shown the door while Kelly and her partner Louis Van Amstel will compete with other two couples-Mya-Dmitry Chaplin and Donny Osmond-Kym Johnson. The three couples will be nudging one another next week to clinch the title and the mirrorball trophy.
Bruno Tonioli, one of the judges on the show was all praise for a “gleaming, beautiful and weightless” Krupa. He compared her to a “butterfly gently gliding over a pine meadow” after she performed a waltz in the current season.
Monday’s episode on ABC also witnessed a barefoot Melissa Rycroft shaking legs with Tony Dovolani.
