According to the published author Snooki, the ocean is salty because of all the 'f--king whale sperm.'
That is why she doesn't want to go in the ocean, because of all the sperm.
The ever-creepy Jeff Miranda wanted to take Snooki in the ocean and that's how this conversation came about.
Don't worry though, the ocean is not salty because of whale sperm, that's just wrong....
